Residential Services in Singleton
Segal House
This
is our Personal Development Unit in it's own large garden in the grounds of The
Old Rectory at Singleton. The house has seven places and provides a residential
and day-time service for people who have more profound disabilities,
communication challenges, some higher level physical dependencies and mild
challenging behaviours. There are three staff working in the house at any one
time with the seven people who live there. In addition the house has one waking
member of staff during the night and one sleeping (on call). As with all our
houses, we try to provide as near ordinary a life style as possible for the
people who live there. The people who live there are able to access and enjoy
ordinary community facilities with this high level of support. The house is
fully equipped and self-contained. The people who live there do not have to
communicate with the people from other dwellings at The Old Rectory unless they
wish to. The house has a wonderful view of the gardens and the South Downs. The
extensive grounds and gardens are fully at the disposal of the people who live
in the Garden Flat and most of the people who live there make good use of them
when they are not busily engaged in a range of community based activities. The
people who live there are keen to work towards a greater level of independence
which we help them to achieve. Please contact Clive Lucas, Service
Manager on 01243 811482 for more details or to arrange a visit.
The Old Rectory
The
nine people who live in the Old Rectory, within the grounds and gardens of the
Singleton site, have moderate learning disabilities. Some of the people have
mild challenging behaviours and others may have a low level need of some
physical support. A number of people have used this house as a "springboard" to
learn more skills needed to move onto a slightly more independent lifestyle
within our Rafters and Garden Flat homes. Other people enjoy the large open
space available at Singleton and so are happy to stay in this house on a longer
term basis. The extensive grounds and gardens are fully at the disposal of the
people who live in the Old Rectory and most of the people who live there make
good use of them when they are not busily engaged in a range of community based
activities. Please give Clive Lucas, Service Manager, a call on 01243
811482 if
you would like more information or to arrange a visit.

Rafters
Rafters
is a semi-independent flat which sits at the top of the Old Rectory on the
Singleton site. The six people who live there have their own front door and
enjoy a slightly more independent lifestyle. The flat is fully equipped and
self-contained. The people who live there do not have to communicate with the
people from other dwellings on the site unless they wish to. The people who live
in Rafters tend to be more able in many ways than the people who live in other
homes on the Singleton site. They often have an eye on progression to living
within our Chichester
Service in a much more independent setting. There are those, however, who
look on this home as a longer term dwelling place. Rafters has a wonderful view
of the gardens and the South Downs. The extensive grounds and gardens are fully
at the disposal of the people who live in the Rafters and most of the people who
live there make good use of them when they are not busily engaged in a range of
community based activities. The people who live there are keen to work towards a
greater level of independence which we help them to achieve. Please give
Clive Lucas, Service Manager, a call on 01243 811482 if you would like more information
or to arrange a visit.
Garden Flat
The Garden Flat is a semi-independent flat at Singleton in the grounds of The
Old Rectory. The four people who live there have their own front door and enjoy
a slightly more independent lifestyle. The flat is fully equipped and
self-contained. The people who live there do not have to communicate with the
people from other dwellings on the site unless they wish to. They have often
moved on from the Old Rectory as their skills have developed. The people who
live in the Garden Flat tend to be a quieter group who enjoy a more tranquil
lifestyle. The flat has a wonderful view of the gardens and the South Downs. The
extensive grounds and gardens are fully at the disposal of the people who live
in the Garden Flat and most of the people who live there make good use of them
when they are not busily engaged in a range of community based activities. The
people who live there are keen to work towards a greater level of independence
which we help them to achieve. Please give Clive Lucas, Service Manager,
a call on 01243 811482 if you would like more information or to arrange a visit.
